1. Holland Scholarship for Non-EEA International Students


Brief Description About Holland Scholarships

The Holland Scholarship, funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, is intended for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to study at one of Holland’s research universities or universities of applied sciences.

Eligibility For Application

• Applicant must not be an EEA national.

• You are applying for a full-time bachelor’s or master’s degree at one of the participating Dutch universities.

• You meet the specific requirements of your preferred institution. These are available on the institution’s website.

• You have never before attended a Dutch educational institution.


Application instructions:

You must apply for the Holland Scholarship directly to the participating institution of your choice.  The deadline for applications is either 1 February 2023 or 1 May 2023. You must check the website of the institution of your choice to confirm the correct deadline.

2. Uppsala University Global Scholarships Sweden


Uppsala University will award scholarships to fee-paying students who apply for Master’s programs beginning in the fall of 2023. Uppsala University Global Scholarships, formerly known as Uppsala IPK Scholarships, is one of these scholarship programs.

Scholarship value/inclusions:

The scholarships will cover the cost of tuition but not living expenses.

 Eligibility Criteria

• You must be a citizen of a country that is not a member of the EU/EEA or Switzerland.

• You must demonstrate academic ability and a desire to work in an educational setting.

• An Uppsala University Global Scholarship can only be awarded for a Master’s programme at Uppsala University that has been chosen as first priority (the program which you have ranked the highest of the four programmes you can choose at University Admissions).

• You must have applied for the Master’s degree program prior to the University Admissions deadline.

• You must meet the admission requirements for the Master’s program for which you applied. University Admissions must receive your application fee and all supporting documents before the deadline.


Application instructions:

To be considered for Uppsala University Global scholarships, you must first apply for one of Uppsala University’s Master’s programmes through the website www.universityadmissions.se between 17 October 2022 – 16 January 2023.

The Master’s programme at Uppsala University must be ranked as your first priority of choice.

You must then submit an online scholarship application form during the application period 17 January – 1 February 2023.

3. Utrecht Excellence Scholarships for International Students


The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship (UES) offers a number of international students from outside the European Economic Area, the opportunity to pursue a Master’s degree in a selected number of fields at Utrecht University.

Group to target:

International Students from Non-EEA Countries (EEA = the EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway)

Value/inclusions/duration of the scholarship:

The Utrecht Excellence scholarship can be awarded in the form of tuition fees OR tuition fees plus the required income linked to a one-year residence permit for study as determined by the Immigration and Naturalisation Service.

The scholarship is valid for the duration of the program.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Utrecht Excellence Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be a member of the top 10% of your graduating class*
• Lack of an EU/EEA passport and ineligibility for study grants and loans under the Dutch system
• Have completed secondary school and/or a Bachelor’s degree outside of the Netherlands • Have applied to an eligible international master’s program beginning on September 1, 2023

Application Instructions

Non-EU/EEA students will have the option to apply for one Utrecht Excellence Scholarship beginning November 1, 2022, after submitting an application (or applications) for a UES-eligible Master’s programme before the deadline.

Prospective students who want to be considered for the scholarship must apply before 31 January 2023, 23:59 CET, or the scholarship will be forfeited.
