Brief Description About UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarships

The UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarship aims to enable and encourage international students from low-income backgrounds to study full-time at UCL.

Scholarship value/duration:

There are ten full tuition fee and maintenance awards and twenty full tuition fee awards. The scholarship is valid for the duration of the program.

Eligibility For The UCL Global Undergraduate Scholarships

• Candidates may be from any country other than the United Kingdom, but they must meet all of the following requirements:
• Be eligible to pay the Overseas fee rate; • come from a lower-income family*; AND have applied for a full-time Undergraduate degree at UCL in 2023/24.

Application Instructions

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must have applied for admission to UCL. Applications must be submitted online before 5 p.m. BST on Friday, April 24, 2023.

It is advised to go to the official website (link provided below) to get the application form and more information on how to apply for this scholarship.

How to Apply

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must have applied for admission to UCL.

While you do not need to have received an offer of admission to be eligible for this scholarship, UCL Admissions must have confirmed your fee status. This occurs for some students shortly after applying to the university, but for many, it does not occur until just before an offer of admission is made. If you are unable to access the scholarship application form, you may have to wait until UCL has made a decision on whether or not to make you an admission offer. Please apply for admission well in advance of the scholarship deadline.

 

Instructions for submitting an online scholarship application

1. Log in to Portico using your usual credentials.
2. Click the ‘View’ button next to the ‘Active Application’ for which you want to apply for funding.
3. Click on the ‘Funding’ menu item at the top of the application screen.
4. You have arrived at the funding page.
5. Click ‘Check and apply’ under ‘Funds Available’ to see which funds you are eligible to apply for.
6. Click on the name of the scholarship scheme for which you want to apply.

NB: You must submit a separate scholarship application form for each program for which you wish to apply for funding.

Successful candidates for 2023/24 will be notified by 9th June 2023.
